Harvey - Brewer marriage - 1953

Miss Dixie Brewer, daughter of Mrs. Lucille Brewer of Cedar Rapids, became the bride of Dale Harvey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Harvey of Strawberry Point, June 05, in St. Sebald Lutheran church near Strawberry Point. The Rev. William Gebhard officiated. Attending the couple were Miss Gloria MacKean, Strawberry Point, friend of the bride, and Howard Harvey, brother of the groom. Jean Chappell, cousin of the groom, was the flower girl, and LeRoy Dunn and Gerald Harvey, brother of the groom, were ushers.

The bride is a graduate of Strawberry Point high school and plans to enter Iowa State Teachers college this fall, where she has a scholarship. The groom is also a graduate of Strawberry Point high school and at present is employed by the Chicago Milwaukee railroad.

The couple left on a wedding trip through the west, and after June 14th will be at home in Strawberry Point.
