Miss Shirley Coobs, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Coobs of St. Olaf, became the bride of Donald Marmann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Marmann Sr. of Elkader, Aug. 09, at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader, with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Miss Dorothy Coobs, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Karen Thompson, cousin of the bride was bridesmaid. Allan Dale Marmann, brother of the groom, was best man, and Vurnell Marmann, also a brother of the groom, was groomsman. Ushers were Donald Coobs, brother of the bride, and Ray Marmann Jr., brother of the groom.
A reception was held in the church parlors at which Mrs. LuVern Palas, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. John Palas, sister of the groom, cut and served the four-tiered wedding cake. and Mrs. Verdine Glawe, aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Vernon Hoth, sister of the groom poured. Mrs. Allan Dale Marmann, sister-in-law of the groom, had charge of the guest book.
After a short wedding trip up north, the new couple will live in Elkader.
The bride is employed in the Sharp-Roggensack law offices and the groom farms.
