MONONA: Miss Marilyn Jean Timmerman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Timmerman of Monona, and Albert Moose, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Moose also of Monona, were married Saturday, Jan. 19, in the United Brethren Evangelical church in Monona. Rev. Alvin W. Ebert, pastor, officiated. Diana Moose, sister of the groom, was flower girl, and Gary Ropel, cousin of the bride, carried the rings. Milo Timmerman, brother of the bride, served as best man.
Ushers were Donald Topel of Waukon, cousin of the bride, and Allan Whals of Postville, cousin of the groom.Following the ceremony a reception for 250 guests was held in the church parlors. Serving was in charge of the Ladies Aid society with Mrs. George Topel as hostess. Mrs. Cora Klees of Volney, aunt of the groom, and Mrs. Willis Timmerman, aunt of the bride, cut the cake, and Verda Moose assisted. Eileen Topel of Waukon, cousin of the bride, held the guest book, and Evelyn Bechtel of Waukon, cousin of the bride, and Mrs. Geneva Wahls of Postville, Aunt of the groom, were in charge of the gift table.
The bride and groom attended the Monona-Farmersburg Community high school, and the latter was a member of the graduating class of 1955.
The couple will live on a farm east off Monona.
