McNeil - Conboy marriage - 1941

MCNEIL, CONBOY, HUMBERT, NIEMEYER

VOLGA: Tuesday, June 24, at Sacred Heart church here, Miss Corinne Conboy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Conboy, Volga City, became the bride of Joseph McNeil, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed McNeil of Postville. The pastor, the Rev. Father D. T. Noonan, officiated. The Bridal Chorus was played by Zita Humbert, a cousin of the bride, and Miss _en McNeil, of Postville, sister of the groom, sang two selections. The bride's cousin, Mrs. Norbert Niemeyer of Elkader was bridesmaid. The groom's brother, Daniel McNeil, was best man.

The bride is a graduate of the Volga City high school and for the past two years has been employed in Oelwein. The groom attended the Postville schools and at present is farming near Postville.

Following a short wedding trip, the new home will be made at Postville.
