At St. Mary's church, Guttenberg, on Thanksgiving Day, Miss Meralda Ann Frommelt became the bride of Duane Vorwald, only son of Mr. and Mrs. George Vorwald of Elkader. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Frommelt of Guttenberg. The Rev. J. A. Dupont, pastor of St. Mary's, officiated. Acolytes were Duane, Keith and Merle Frommelt, and Roger Lansing. Mrs. Lyle Jackson, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, Carol and Clark Frommelt, cousins of the bride, were flower girl and ring bearer. Merlin Frommelt of Elkader attended the groom, and George Frommelt of Elkader and Jerry Wolter of Guttenberg were the ushers.
Mrs. Vorwald was graduated from St. Mary's high school at Guttenberg. Mr. Vorwald is a graduate of St. Joseph high school at Elkader and attended the Elkader Junior college last year. He is associated with the W. H. Walch & Sons Ford garage, and the new home will be made in Elkader.
