The wedding of Miss Eunice Schmalfeld and Lawrence E. Miller was solemnized at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church Monday, Jan. 26. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Miss Schmalfeld is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schmalfeld, Elkader, and Mr. Miller is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence C. Miller, also of Elkader. Miss Bernice Schmalfeld, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Delbert Hughes, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Lolo Kulper, cousin of the groom, served as bridesmaids. Kenneth Miller served his brother as best man, and Delbert Hughes and Lowell Kulper were the other attendants. Harold Glawe served as usher.
Mrs. Miller is a graduate of the Farmersburg high school. For the past few years she has served as office assistant in the Triple A office in Elkader. Mr. Miller is a graduate of the Elkader high school. He is a veteran of one and a half years service, several months of which were spent in Japan. Since his discharge he has been employed at the Olson Sash and Door Factory. Both Mr. and Mrs. Miller will continue their work. They will be at home in the upstairs apartment in the Chris Meyer home.
