Miss Inez Leuchtenmacher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Leuchtenmacher of Elkader, became the bride of Herbert Friedlein, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Friedlein of McGregor, Monday evening, June 10. The Rev. W. Tolson, pastor of Our Redeemer Lutheran church, officiated. Miss Alvina Friedlein, Raymond, Minn., cousin of the groom, served as maid of honor. Mrs. Leighton Bente, of Elkader, sister of the bride, served as bridesmaid. The groom's attendants were Walter Sitterly of Dubuque, cousin of the groom, and Clifford Leuchtenmacher, a brother of the bride.
Before her marriage the bride was employed in the Sunny Crest sanitarium at Dubuque. The groom, after two years and eight months in the Army, six months of which were spent overseas in the China-Burma-India theater, was discharged in November 1945.
The new couple will make their home on a farm near McGregor.
