Bente - Bissell marriage - 1946

The marriage of Miss Kathleen Bissell and Lloyd Bente was solemnized at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader, Tuesday. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Bissell and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bente, all of Elkader. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Mrs. Harry Mueller, sister of the bridegroom, was matron of honor, while Miss Marie Bissell, a sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid. Glen Bente served his brother as best man. Edward Bissell and Ivan Doeppke were ushers, and Royce Bissell completed the bridal party as an attendant.

The new couple will make their home on the Harry Bente farm six miles east of Elkader.
