Whittle - Rolfes marriage - 1946

WHITTLE, ROLFES, MAIBAUER

Miss Georgia Rolfes, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Rolfes, became the bride of Joseph J. Whittle, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Whittle, at St. Joseph's church, Garnavillo, Tuesday. The Rev. L. C. Iekel officiated. Donald Whittle, brother of the groom, and Gerald Hoeger, served as acolytes. Miss Kathleen Rolfes, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and Miss Madonna Rolfes, another bride's sister, served her. Virgil Whittle attended his brother as best man, and Fred Maibauer, uncle of the bride, served as usher.

The bride has been employed in Chicago for the past few years while the groom is engaged in trucking in this vicinity. Their new home will be made in Garnavillo.
