Henkes - Schievelbein marriage - 1946

At the St. John's Lutheran church in Farmersburg, Wednesday, Jan. 16, Miss Glenda Schievelbein, daughter of Harry Schievelbein of Farmersburg, became the bride of Vernis Henkes, son of Mrs. Louise Henkes of Luana. The Rev. R. H. Steege, of Farmersburg, officiated. Miss Jeannette Rolland, niece of the groom, served as bridesmaid. Nancy Krambeer, niece of the groom, served as flower girl. Lendall Schievelbein, brother of the bride, acted as best man. Ilo Mae Oelke, cousin of the bride, and Calvin Henkes, brother of the groom, were ushers.

The bride is a graduate of the Farmersburg high school and the bridegroom attended the rural school of Farmersburg.

The couple will make their home (Note: The article ended at this point.)
