Ellwanger - Ruff marriage - 1950

Alice Ruff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Ruff of McGregor, became the bride of Paul W. Ellwanger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Ellwanger of Forrest Park, Ill., Oct. 14, in St. Joseph's church, Garnavillo. The Rev. L. C. Ickel, pastor, officiated. Miss Helen Ruff of Elkader, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Norman Fairchild, a musician from Berwyn, Ill., served as best man. and Erwin Ruff, brother of the bride, and Leander Berns, cousin of the bride, ushered.

The bride graduated from Monona high school and Mercy school of Nursing at Dubuque. She has been employed by the Veterans Administration hospital, Hines, Ill. The groom graduated from St. Ignatius high school in Chicago. He is employed by the Common Wealth Edison Co. in Chicago.

The new couple will make their home at Forrest Park, Ill.
