Hartke - Morris marriage - 1950

Miss Rose Mary Morris, daughter of Mrs. Martha Morris of Strawberry Point, became the bride of William Hartke, Oelwein, son of Mrs. Katherine Hartke of Strawberry Point, Saturday, Sept. 16, at St. Mary's Catholic church in Strawberry Point. The Rev. Father Wilfred Kress officiated. Bridesmaid was Elizabeth Morris, sister of the bride, and Emmet Morris, twin brother of the bride, was best man, and Walter Morris, also a brother of the bride served as usher.

The bride was graduated from the Strawberry Point high school and is now the chief operator here for the Iowa Telephone and Telegraph Co. The groom graduated from Greeley high school, served 4 1/2 years in the U.S. Army, and at present is the buttermaker in the Oelwein creamery.
