Saturday, June 10 at the St. Olaf Norwegian Lutheran church, Miss Kathleen Graddy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Larson of St. Olaf, became the bride of Albert Matthews of Danbury, Conn., son of Mrs. Albert P. Matthews of New York City, N.Y. The Rev. S. J. Strandjord, pastor, officiated. Miss Inda Graddy, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, while Hugh Largent of Waukegan, Ill., an uncle of the bride, served as best man. Ushers were Lonnie Engelhardt and Dan Houg of St. Olaf.
Mrs. Matthews is a graduate of the Orlando, Florida, high school and the Elkader junior college. She also attended the Iowa State college at Ames. For the past four years she has been employed as stewardess with the American Air Lines.
Mr. Matthews is a graduate of Danbury, Conn., high school and Arnold college at Milford, Conn. During the war he was employed by the British government and for the past two years has been the public school supervisor at Sweet Grass, Montana.
The couple will spend the summer in the east at 23 Griffin Ave., Danbury, Conn., and in Sept. Mr. Matthews will resume his teaching duties in Montana.
Among the out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mrs. Albert Matthews, mother of the groom, and Josette and Peter Matthews, niece and nephew of New York City.
