Best - Henning marriage - 1950

Miss Ila Mae Henning, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Henning of Farmersburg, became the bride of Carlys Best, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Best of Garnavillo, Sunday, April 09, in the St. John's Lutheran church at Farmersburg. The Rev. R. H. Steege officiated. Attendants were Miss Verda Mae Krambeer of Farmersburg and Donald Henning, brother of the bride. Ushers were Orin Engelhardt of Postville, cousin of the groom, and Dale Henning of Farmersburg, brother of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Farmersburg high school; attended Elkader junior college and is teaching in a rural school. Mr. Best is a graduate of Elkader high school.

The new couple will live at Garnavillo where Mr. Best is engaged in farming.
