Swift - Olinger marriage - 1950

STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Loretta Olinger of Dubuque, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leon Olinger of Strawberry Point, became the bride of James Gordon Swift, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph R. Swift of Des Moines, at the Sacred Heart church in Volga, Monday, Feb. 27. The Rev. D. T. Noonan officiated, assisted by the Rev. J. J. Olinger, uncle of the bride.

The bride was attended by her sister Marie, and best man was Kenneth Swift of Omaha, a brother of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of Immaculate Conception academy at Dubuque and has been employed by the Northwestern Bell Telephone company there. The groom graduated from Dowling academy in Des Moines and is employed by the Western Electric company in Dubuque.
