MARRIED - At Prairie du Chien, Wis., on Monday morning, at 10 o'clock, May 20th, 1861, by the Rev. L. Gaitler, at the residence of the bride's mother, Dr. J. Wade King, of McGregor, to Miss Mary Jenkins, of the former place.
We have suspected Doc. for several weeks. He has been in the habit of crossing the river in the afternoon and complaining of Capt. Sherwin for hurrying the boat off before time, thus leaving the identical doctor over night on the other side! The error of the Captain's is all explained now, and we readily see why our friend didn't wade the Mississippi to get home.
Peace, Prosperity, Love, Union, Fidelity, and as interesting family circle are the treasures our hearts prompt us to wish them.
