The marriage of Miss Helen Miller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Miller of Strawberry Point, and Charles J. Downey, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Downey of Monona, was solemnized at the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Strawberry Point Tuesday morning, April 07, by the Rev. P. J. Boyle. Attending the couple were Miss Mildred Downey of Elkader, sister of the groom and Paul Dillon of Strawberry Point. The bride is a graduate of the Strawberry Point high school and has been a rural school teacher for the past two years. The couple will make their home on a farm near Monona.
