Eggimann - Seifert marriage - 1945

EGGIMANN, SEIFERT, LIVINGSTON

In a ceremony Wednesday in the Frieden's Evangelical and Reformed church, Cadet Nurse Erneva K. Seifert became the bride of Elmer F. Eggimann. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Seifert of Elkader, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Eggimann, also of Elkader. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Attending the bride was Miss Zadonna Hall, while Kenneth Harnack served as best man. Ushers were Lloyd Gossman and Lamar Steen.

Mrs. Mabel Livingston of Cedar Rapids, an aunt of the bride, and Mrs. Milda Meyer, presided at the reception table at the home of the bride's parents.

Mrs. Eggimann graduated from Elkader high school and attended Elkader junior college. She is now a Cadet nurse at Bishop Johnson college of nursing in Los Angeles, Calif. Mr. Eggimann was also a graduate from the Elkader high school and attended Elkader junior college and Iowa State college at Ames. He enlisted with the Marine corps with which he served for three years, two of which were served in the South Pacific area. He received his honorable discharge at Great Lakes earlier this month.

Mrs. Eggimann will report back for duty at Bishop Johnson college of Nursing on Jan. 06. Mr Eggiman will assist his father on the home farm for the present.
