Thomas - Plaster marriage - 1945

In an informal single ring ceremony Sunday, Miss Rosella Plaster, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Plaster of Sumner, became the bride of Bob E. Thomas, Pho. M 3/c, U.S.N.R., son of Mr. and Mrs. L. Thomas of Strawberry Point. The wedding occurred at the Methodist church in Strawberry Point with the Rev. R. Park Anderson officiating. Attendants were Olive Cannell of Sumner and Bruce Fenchel of Strawberry Point. schoolmates of the bridal couple.

The bride was graduated from the Sumner high school in 1943. The groom graduated from Strawberry Point high school in 1943, enlisting in the navy the same year. He recently returned from the South Pacific where he was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Monterey and served with Halsey's Third fleet. He will report for further duty at Des Moines on Dec. 11.
