Sept. 04, the Methodist church was the scene of the wedding of Miss Esther Luella Kramer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Kramer, to Sgt. Alvin Scott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Scott. The Rev. R. Park Anderson officiated. Miss Maxine Hood of Minneapolis, Minn., cousin of the bride, was maid of honor, and Mrs. Fredrick Scott was bridesmaid. Kenneth Kramer, the bride's bother, was best man, and Fredrick Scott, brother of the groom was an attendant. Sgt Burdian Fridley and Melvin Scott, both cousins of the groom, were ushers.
Mrs. Scott was graduated from the Strawberry Point high school and recently has been employed by the Collins Radio Co. in Cedar Rapids. Sgt. Scott attended the rural schools and was engaged in farming before entering service in Sept., 1942. He just recently returned after spending 21 months in England.
After a short wedding trip Sgt. Scott will report at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., Sept. 22, and from there will go to Tampa, Fla.
