Edna Olmsted and Elmer Heitman Married at Giard.
GIARD: The marriage of Edna Olmsted, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. N. Olmsted of McGregor, to Elmer Heitmann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Heitmann of Keystone, Iowa, took place at the Giard Methodist church, Aug. 10. The Rev. R. D. Butler officiated. Miss Margaret Olmsted, sister of the bride, and Barbara Klotzback of Cedar Rapids, cousin of the bride, were her attendants. Sgt, John Meyer of Keystone, cousin of the groom, was best man. Rita Johnson of Keystone, was flower girl, and Stevie Johnson was ring bearer. Philip Olmsted and Barton Klotzbach, brother and cousin of the bride, served as ushers.
Mrs. Heitmann graduated from the Monona high school and attended Upper Iowa University for two years. She has taught in Keystone for the past three years. Mr. Heitmann graduated from the Keystone high school. He served with the U.S. Army from June, 1942, to November, 1943, when he was discharged with the rank of sergeant.
The couple will live in Keystone.
