Monday, June 04th, Miss Doris Neumann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Neumann of Strawberry Point, became the bride of Sgt. Anton B. Nading, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Bockmeyer of Oelwein. Rev. S. J. Meyer, pastor of Emanuel Lutheran church officiated. Mrs. Bud Jensen of West Union was matron of honor and Miss Lorraine Craven of Merrill, Wis., and Mrs. Wayne Fear of Oelwein, sister of the groom, served as bridesmaids. Serving his brother as best man was Wilbur Nading of Oelwein. Bud Jensen of West Union, and Cpl. Wayne Fear of Oelwein, were the ushers.
The bride received her schooling in West Union where the family resided before moving here a few years ago. Sgt Nading enlisted in Sept. 1942, only recently returning to this country after 29 months of overseas duty.
Sgt. Nading will report at Ft. Sheridan near Chicago, June 16, and later expects to be sent to Polk Field, N.C.
