Beckman - Fox marriage - 1945

The marriage of Miss Betty Fox, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luman Fox of Volga City, and Donald Beckman, son of Mrs. A. H. Beckman of near Elkader, took place Friday, Feb. 23. The Rev. Paul Kitterer, pastor of the Evangelical and Reformed church of Elkader, performed the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents south of town. Their attendants were LeRoy and Joan Fox, brother and sister of the bride.

Mrs. Beckman graduated in 1940 from the Volga City high school and later attended Upper Iowa university at Fayette. She taught a rural school in Highland township last year. The groom is engaged in farming. They are at home on a farm located between Elkader and Communia.
