I am looking for a needle in a haystack. My great uncle, Willard St. Clair, born in Pike County, but lived near Birdseye, Crawford County, in Southern Indiana, was in World War I. After he was discharged from the war, Willard went somewhere in Texas, married, and fathered a child. When Willard died, his death certificate stated he was still married. Considering that Willard lived on the farm near Birdseye most of his life never speaking of a wife, this wife and child is a surprise.
Willard was working on the farm of Robert Grimm and his wife Olga on the 1920 census and was still in Iowa in 1925. By 1930 Willard was back in Indiana.
