Vincent Wainwright Clark (Aunt Bessie’s father) deceased in Yuma, Yuma County, Arizona on September 22, 1947. The following Death Certificate provides the information on his decease:

[Note: If Vincent lived in Arizona for 65 years, he would have moved there in 1882. Per his marriage record with Grandma Dora, they were married in Osceola, Iowa in January 1, 1887, which indicates he was not in Arizona for entirely 65 years.]
Burial: September 25, 1947 in Yuma Cemetery

Grandpa Richard Eggleston was killed on duty in the big Osceola, Clarke Co. fire and explosion in 1917. Both his estate papers and his obituary name the children by his marriage to Dora, but do not list Bessie as a heir. Bessie is also not listed as a surviving child in her mother Dora Clark Eggleston Morain's obituary in 1936 as her other children. I believe Bessie may have deceased sometime between 1907 and 1917 or 1936.

This opens new questions: Did Aunt Bessie continue living in Naco or Old Mexico (the county Mexico), Arizona after May 17, 1906 per The Osceola Sentinel and The Osceola Democrat articles? Did she marry there? Did she decease somewhere in Cochise Co.? Bessie is not listed as a surviving child in her mother Dora Clark Eggleston Morain's obituary in Des Moines, Iowa Sep.19, 1936 as is her other four children [William, Paul, Carrie and Blanche]. I believe Bessie may have deceased sometime between 1907 and 1936. Having been in Arizona for one or two years, the trail for Aunt Bessie appears to lead me from Arizona to Chicago and, per the following, very likely decease in Chicago and back to Osceola, Iowa for burial.

When asked, twice Mom’s cousin, Ethel (Sanders) Marshall had told me that Bessie went to Chicago. Also note that there is only one day between the death date in Cook Co. IL (Chicago) and burial in Osceola.

Thus far, I have been unable to find a Bessie Clark in any Arizona U.S. Federal Censuses or marriage records between 1905 – 1940 that fits my Aunt Bessie. The above Cook County, (Chicago) information does fit my Aunt Bessie if she indeed left Arizona after a year or two, removed to Chicago where she deceased a year later and was buried back in Osceola, There is a stone for another Bessie Clark buried in Maple Hill Cemetery, however, the birth dates do not match and Besie's burial is next to her Clark husband – Clark is her married name.

The Osceola Genealogical Society does not have the funeral home records for August 11 1905 through June 26, 1915. The records for these dates are missing. Perhaps, my Aunt Bessie Clark is the above Bessie Clark, deceased in Cook Co., IL/buried in Osceola, and is buried near her mother, Grandma Dora...but no stone? Or she could be buried in one of the two other Osceola Cemeteries: Green Bay Cemetery or Osceola Cemetery? This would really be something if a 10-year search for Aunt Bessie brings me full circle back home to her in Osceola!!
