Funeral services for Carolyn E. Elliott, 85, Tipton and formerly of Rochester, were held Jan 25, 1987 at the Rochester Methodist church, with the Rev. Warren Webb officiating. Kay Rene Purin was the vocalist and Sharon Stiff was the organist. Pallbearers were Ron Jordan, Randy Smith, Brian White, Roland Meixner, Bill Stiff and Michael Ford. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mrs. Elliott died Jan. 23 at Mercy hospital in Davenport following an extended illness.

The daughter of Frank and Mary Vaughn Meixner, she was born May 30, 1901 at Wilton. She attended rural Cedar county schools. She married Roy Jordan in 1922 in Rock Island, Ill. She married Clarence Elliott in 1960 in Davenport. She was preceded in death by both husbands.

Mrs. Elliott was a homemaker and had lived in Tipton for the past 4 years. She was a member of the Rochester United Methodist church and Women's Fellowship, Glen Young Kim Navy Mothers Club, Rochester Homemakers and the Friendly Circle of Kings' Daughters, Tipton. She organized the Rochester Rockettes and was active in the group for 20 years and was a member of the Old Time Melody Band.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Wanda) Mercer, Franklin, Mass. and Mrs. Melva Smith, West Palm Beach, Fla.; a son, Roger Jordan, Franklin, Mass.; 3 sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Lorine) Ford, Rochester; Mrs. Ada Osborne, Tingley and Mrs. Lucille Schrock, Marion; a brother, Frank Meixner, Atalissa; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Elliott was preceded in death by both husbands, a son, a daughter, one sister and one brother.
