Funeral services for Adah Agne, 90, Tipton, were held Jan. 9 at the United Methodist church in Tipton, with Dr. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Joe Mallie was the vocalist and Patty Niehaus was the organist. Pallbearers were Marvin Williams, Jerald Nebergall, Max Nebergall, Page Troop, Mark Schneider and Troy Peckosh. Burial was in the Tipton Masonic cemetery.

Mr. Agne died Jan. 5 at Cedar Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.

The daughter of Zenos and Ema Nicoson McElfresh, she was born April 4, 1896 in Chester, Ohio. She attended schools in Chester, Ohio and Tipton. She also attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon.

She married Iven Nebergall in 1916 in Tipton and Burdette Agne in 1936 in Tipton. She was a school teacher and homemaker, residing in the Tipton area for the past 80 years.

She was a member of the United Methodist Women, W.S.C.S., Bereans, Tipton Order of Eastern Star and Tipton Rebekah Lodge.

Mrs. Agne is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Ihlo Fae) Leinbaugh, Lost Nation; a son, Leo (Peck) Nebergall; Tipton; 6 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by both husbands, 2 brothers and one grandson.
