Funeral services for Emil H. LaMaack, 81, were held at Durant May 22 with the Rev. Harold Jones officiating. Burial was in the Durant cemetery. Pallbearers were William and Dale Schlueter, Arno and Robert Meincke, Francis Stecher and Bob Walker. Max Lauser was vocalist and Eva Lu Murrison was organist.

Mr. LaMaack died at the Wilton Nursing home May 19 following an extended illness.

The son of Nicklaus and Minnie Schaffer LaMaack, he was born at Durant, April 10, 1898, and was married to Mamie Fick Feb. 23, 1927. The LaMaacks retired from farming in 1964.

He is survived by a son, Herbert, Wilton, 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lulu Meincke, Davenport. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1974 and a brother.
