Funeral services for Mrs. Marie E. Frederick, 74, were held at the Sheets and Son Funeral home May 14 with the Rev. Jerrold Swinton officiating. Burial was in Shawver cemetery at Cedar Bluff.

Pallbearers were Richard Mitzner, Elmer Harmel, Otis Geadelmann, Eddie Ketelsen, Calvin Moore and Wilmar Williams.

Mrs. Frederick died at the Mechanicsville Care Center May 10 following an extended illness.

The daughter of Roy and Ella Meyers Hinnan, she was born near Bennett Nov. 28, 1904 and attended the rural Cedar county schools. She was married to John W. Frederick at Marion Dec. 6, 1922.

She spent her life in the Tipton area. She was a member of the World War I Auxiliary 1146 and the Women's Relief Corps.

Mrs. Frederick is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Grant (Mary Jane) Armstrong, Mechanicsville and Mrs. Eldon (Jo Ann) Dietz, Tipton; 2 sons, Lyle, Davenport and Rhea Alan, in the air force at Plattsburgh, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren and 4 sisters, Mrs. Arlene Donohue and Mrs. Bette Peterman, Stanwood; Mrs. Shirley Lange, Tipton and Mrs. Margaret Schultz, Milan, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, 6 sisters and 2 brothers.
