Funeral services for Alan Lee Meier, 36, Hastings, Minn., were held at 10 a.m., April 24 in St. John's United Church of Christ, Clarence, with the Rev. Calvin Schumacher officiating. Mrs. Robert Hasselbusch was organist with selections by the adult choir. Pallbearers were Donald Meier, Allen Hasselbusch, Verlyn Krafock, Roger White, Edwin Varney and Melvin Florer. Burial was in St. John's cemetery.

Meier was born Nov. 8, 1942, at Cedar Rapids, the son of Hubert and Evelyn Kesebert Meier. He married Sandra Swale Aug. 30, 1969 at Hawkeye. He had lived in Hastings 2 1/2 years and was elevator manager for Equity Cooperative. He died at home April 20.

Survivors are his wife, Sandra; 2 sons, Scott and Brian, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Meier, Clarence, and a brother, James, Hackensack, Minn.; and a grandmother, Pauline Kinkead, Clarence.
