Funeral services for Mrs. Mae. Hemmingway, 90, were held at the United Methodist church in West Branch April 14 with the Rev. Max E. Paige officiating. Burial was in the West Branch cemetery.

Mrs. Hemmingway died at Crestview Care center, West Branch, April 10.

The daughter of John and Margaret Forsythe Jack, she was born at Mores May 1, 1888. She spent her life in the West Branch area.

She was married to Grant Hemmingway Nov. 24, 1910. He died in 1962. She was a member of the West Branch United Methodist church and the United Methodist Church Women.

Mrs. Hemmingway is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. William (Margaret) Haukom, Kesson, Minn.; Mrs. H. G. (Ruth) Hitchcock, Sioux City and Mrs. Donald (Mary Lou) Davidson, Urbana, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son and 2 brothers.
