D. D. Morris, better known as "Uncle Davy Morris," whose home has been in Grove City, hung himself in the hay loft of his barn on Sunday forenoon. He had been dead long enough to be cold when his body was found. Coroner Dr. Q. C. Egan held an inquest with A. F. Upton, L. D. Wilsey and Hamon Roberts as jurors. The verdict was that the deceased died by his own hand.The following letter addressed to a neighbor was found in his pocket:
"Mr. A. Wakefield:--Please buy a lot in the Atlantic cemetery to bury me on. You will find money in the bank to pay all costs; it is there for that purpose. Good-bye to all.
D. D. Morris,
Comfort the widow."Mr. Morris had lived in this county twenty-five years or more. His age was 73 years. He leaves a wife.
