Sister Local Woman
Died Monday In Chicago

Mrs. Alice Smith, 68, sister of
Mrs. Edna Baier of this place,
died Monday at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Winifred Sickel, in
Chicago. She had been in poor
health for the past year and last
fall went from Fort Dodge to
Chicago to make her home with
her daughter.

She is survived by her husband,
L. B. Smith; a son Raymond and
the daughter at whose home she
died; three brothers, Homer Kirk-
ham of Anita, Sylvester Kirk-
ham of Eagle Grove and Joe
Kirkham of Garden Grove, Calif.;
and two sisters, Mrs. Edna Baier
of Exira and Mrs. Jennie Moree of
Kansas City, Missouri.

The remains will be shipped to
Anita, former home of the family,
on Thursday and funeral services
will be held there.

Note: Parents were Sylvester Kirkham and Mary Anne Dacey.
