W. T. Croxton Laid To Rest Monday, Dec.17
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Long Funeral Home for W. T. Croxton who died at the Bates Hospital in Bentonville, Ark. Mr. Cal Linderman of Lyman was in charge of the services. Music was furnished by Fred Myers.
W. T. Croxton, son of Shadeack and Elizabeth was born in Iowa, June 13th, 1870. On April 10th, 1889 he was married to Miss Loretta Beaver at Guide Rock, Nebr. To this union five children were born. Mr.Croxton lived with his family in and around the Berea community until 1912 when he moved to a ranch ten miles west of Upton, Wyoming and had lived there since. He was visiting in Arkansas when he was taken ill and death came.
Mrs. Croxton passed away in Sept. of 1933 and in November of this year his oldest son passed away and was brought to Anita for burial. He is survived by one son, Lloyd E. and seven grandchilidren and five great grandchildren all of Upton, Wyo., one brother, Sanford Croxton of Powhattan, Kans., two sisters Ella Hunter of Bentonville, Ark., Mattie Barber of Kansas City, Kans.
