Mrs. Marcia Clinton Pawley, a bride of seven weeks, passed away last Wednesday morning at 5 o'clock after a five weeks' illness with appendicitis and peritonitis. At first she was thought to be in a dangerous condition but later the doctor and nurse thought her on the road to improvement, but she gradually grew weaker, resulting at last in death. Miss Marcella Clinton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Clinton, was born in Victoria township, June 3, 1892, and died Dec. 27, 1911, aged 19 years 6 month and 24 days. Her father preceded her in death some twelve years and a few years ago her mother moved to Massena, where Marcia made her home until her marriage to W. Raymond Pawley on Nov. 8, 1911 at which time they went to live on the Pawley farm southwest of town. Funeral services were held from the Reno Catholic church on last Friday and interment made in the Reno Cemetery. Besides her husband and mother she leaves to mourn her loss three brothers and five sisters. (Atlantic News Telegraph, Jan. 3, 1912)
