Nels Olson Fosmark's parents were Ole Monson Fosmark (Born 22 Dec 1841 in Norway, died 24 Jun 1913 in Lone Rock, Moody, South Dakota and Kari Nielson Fosmark (Born 18 Sep 1844 in Norway and died 12 Feb 1927 in Lone Rock, Moody, South Dakota. Lone Rock Cemetery Records show that Ole Monson Fosmark was born in Bergen, Norway and his father's name was Mons Fosmark and that Kari Nielson Fosmark was born in Bergen, Norway and that her father was Niels Helle.

Nels Olson Fosmark was born 08 Feb 1865 in Wisconsin and died 09 Oct 1899 in Buena Vista County, Iowa. He was married to Ragnhild Olson on 19 July 1888 in Buena Vista County, Iowa.
