Desperate to locate the parents/family of John L. Wagner, born 21 April 1899 in Storm Lake, IA. My Grandfather, John married April 1922 in Elsie, Nebraska, to Louise Jaenicke. On Johns Marriage Certificate, he states that: he was born in S. Dakota, father was Fred Wagner, born in Germany, and Mother, Mary Feeny, born in Iowa. His first child was born in Dec 1922, on which Johns birthplace is Iowa. On a document produced by John in 1960, he states that he was born in Storm Lake, IA, father was born in June 1867, and mothers maiden name of 'Calmus', born September 1875. Other "facts": schooled in Wray and Julesburg, CO between 1904 and 1914; and a farmer and Carpenter in his "early years". I have searched the IA records for his birth, "not found" was the official response. The only census I have located John on, is the 1930 Census for Lincoln, NE. no other censuses are showing positive identification. the 1917 draft did not show any viable leads. He remarried about 1937, and died in in 1964 (Storm Lake IA is the place of birth indicated) Can Anyone help? Please?! Thank you! =)
