Josephson Family Missing

Looking for information regarding my gr grandfather. His last name was Josephson. That and the fact that he was to have died just prior to my Grandmother's Sept 1917 birth via a train accident and that he worked for the railroad are all we know about him. He and his wife lived in Storm Lake IA (or there abouts, possibly Alta) when my grandma was born. They had one other daughter, Karolyn b. Feb. 1912. Shortly after grandma's birth Amelia (her mother) and sister Karolyn boarded a train in Alta and came to Loomis, NE. There Karolyn was briefly placed in the Christian Children's Home in Holdrege and my grandmother was immediately adopted. Amelia married afterwards Carl Lundberg of Loomis and tried to regain custody of her infant daughter, but that did not happen. I believe that there is some kind of connection between the adoptive parents and Amelia or her 1st husband. Adoptive parents were Ernest and Minnie Anderson. They had previously tried to adopt two children, one died after adoption was final and the other was removed from their custody by the Humane society. ANY information about any of these surnames and possible connections would be greatly welcomed! Over a 60 yr search as my grandmother tried to find information before her death in 1984 (for YEARS before that). Thanks!
