In reply to Vance Lee, I can tell you precisely as to what the relationships between the Barstad families at Sioux Rapids,Iowa; Cottonwood, Minnesota; and Colfax, Wisconsin are.
P.E. Barstad was a first cousin of yy granfather Peder A. Barstad, also of Sioux Rapids. Both Peter's (Peder) were born near Egersund in Norway, as the above mentioned Barstads were.
