Descendants of Godfrey Motz

Looking to share information with any descendants of Godfrey Motts. b. 1832 in New York state. Served in the Civil War in the 16th Iowa Infantry. The last location I have for him is the 1880 census in La Porte City, with his wife and children.

I have information to share about his siblings and parents, who were pioneers in Wisconsin. I'd like to find out what happened to Godfrey and his family to share with my 96-year-old grandmother- the real genealogist in the family.
