Shaffer, Jacob Family

SHAFFER, RIPPLE, GLASSER, SCHRACK, GEYER, FULLER

I would like to share info. on the Jacob Shaffer family that came from Somerset Co., Pa., born 1805 and died Lester twp., Black Hawk Co., Ia. 1880. Married Sarah Ripple, born 1806 Som.Co., Pa. died 1862 in Barclay, Ia. One son was Rev. Israel Shaffer, 1826-1883 Butler Co., Ia., Jacob's other sons were Ephraim, Cyrus, Cornelius, died in the Civil War, they are buried in the Old Barclay Cemetery beside their mother. One son, Franklin, was born 1844 and moved to Alma, Neb. where he died in 1926. There also were Shaffer daughters in this family married to Shrack, Fuller, Glasser, and Geyer men. I would like to exchange info. on this family so it is compiled accurately as possbile and then donate it to the Historical & Genealogical Societys in Black Hawk Co., Iowa.
