CEDAR FALLS - Jessie Weisert, 90, of Cedar Falls, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at the Western Home Communities of natural causes.

She was born Feb. 10, 1915, in Hazleton, daughter of Matthew and Mattie Kaster McDowall. She married George Weisert on Sept. 1, 1933. He died Feb. 17, 1977.

Mrs. Weisert and her husband farmed for many years in the Dunkerton area before retiring. She also worked for Santa Claus Industries.

Survivors include a son, Marvin (Marilyn) of Bloomington, Ill.; a daughter, Sue Stroh of Washburn; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Marion Bergman of Cedar Falls

Preceded in death by two sons, Harold and Dennis; five brothers, Ross, Leonard, Gilbert and William McDowall, and Leslie Means; and four sisters, Jean Pettichord, Lois Hillman, Helen Irely and Betty Edwards.

Services: 2 p.m. Friday at Parrott & Wood Chapel of Memories, with burial in Garden of Memories, both of Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and for an hour before services Friday at the chapel.

Memorials may be directed to the Western Home Martin Center, Cedar Falls.
