GILBERTVILLE - Loretta Ann Bornong, 95, formerly of Gilbertville, died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at La Porte City Nursing and Rehab Center, La Porte City, of natural causes.

She was born May 19, 1910, in Gilbertville, daughter of Joseph and Mary Schmitz Reuter. She married Joseph Bornong on Nov. 18, 1936, in Gilbertville. He died Oct. 12, 1965.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Janis) of Gilbertville; three daughters, Lorraine (Jim) Freet of Cedar Falls, Bonita (Terry) Moore of Marion and Mary (Bill) Kreger of Evansdale; 14 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by a son, Richard; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, John and Cecelia Reuter, Joe and Velma Reuter and Ted Reuter; and five sisters and brothers-in-law, Bertha and Ed Meinert, Clara and Mike Frost, Mary and Al Pierce, Dorothy and Charles Schoellen, and Agnes and Harry Davey.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, both in Gilbertville. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, Waterloo, where there will be a 4 p.m. rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service. Visitation also for an hour before services Friday at the church.

Memorials may be directed to the church.
