WATERLOO — Hubert Leon "Huey" Hanlin, 75, of Novinger, Mo., formerly of Waterloo, died at home Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2000, of natural causes.
He was born Sept. 3, 1924, in Connelsville, Mo., son of James and Berenice Osborn Hanlin. He married Elnora Jean Plummer Harris on March 1, 1956.
Mr. Hanlin was a truck driver in Iowa for 40 years until returning to Novinger in 1989. He and his wife owned and operated the Second Choice store in Green Castle, Mo.
Survived by his wife; two sons, Larry of Parkville, Mo., and Jeff of Kirksville, Mo.; three daughters, Janita Moddrell of Queen City, Mo., Denise Bolhuis of Clarksville and Georgeanne Harms of Allison; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Herbert of Tischomingo, Okla., and Jimmy of Novinger; and a sister, Frances Jane Cuculich of Novinger.
Preceded in death by a son, Gary; and a brother.
Services: were 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Glenn E. Kent and Son Funeral Chapel, Green City, with burial in the Novinger Cemetery, Novinger.
