Kenneth A. Wood (1932-2005)

CEDAR FALLS - Kenneth Arthur Wood, 73, of 503 Grant St., died Nov. 25, 2005 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following surgery for lung cancer.

He was born July 24, 1932, in Cedar Falls, son of Arthur F. and Viola McLeish Wood. He married Barbara Baker, and they were later divorced. He then married Kay Troutner, and they were later divorced.

Mr. Wood was employed at Waterloo Register Co., Hinson Manufacturing Co., and he retired from Wayne Engineering in Cedar Falls.

Survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Jon) Taylor of Lead Hill, Ark.; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four nieces, Sandra Neisen of Waterloo, Patricia Eberhart of St. Louis Park, Minn., Barbara Overmann of Cedar Falls and Marjorie Kloster of Aurora, Ill.; and his special friend and companion, Rosalie Boone of Cedar Falls.

Preceded in death by: his parents, Art and Viola Wood; and two sisters, Darlene Prange and Dorothy Wood.

Memorial services: will take place later in the spring. Inurnment was at Cedar Valley Memorial Gardens, Cedar Falls.
