Funeral services for Paul Anderson, 56, were conducted Oct. 11, 2005 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Kimballton, with Rev. Stephen Gronseth officiating. Interment was in the Bethany Lutheran Cemetery, in Kimballton. Casket bearers were: Steve Heuton, John Atwell, Tom Albertson, Terry Sander, Dwight Carroll, Mike Anderson, Dan Nissen, Lanny Clausen and Terry Reese.

Paul Leroy Anderson, the son of Gerald and Mildred Christiansen Anderson, was born July 25, 1949, at Audubon and died of cancer Oct. 8, 2005, at Myrtue Memorial Hospital in Harlan. He grew up in the Kimballton area and attended school in Kimballton and Elk Horn. Following his schooling, Paul worked at the Audubon Locker.

In January of 1967, Paul was united in marriage with Pamela Petersen at Hamlin. Two children were born to this union. With the exception of about three years in Mapleton and Sioux City, the couple made their home at Kimballton.

In the early 1980s, Paul married Patty Lauritsen.

Paul held a variety of vocations and was most noted for operating his two businesses, Indian Creek Antiques and Paul’s Auto. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. For many years, Paul served on the Kimballton Fire Department and Kimballton City Council. Paul also painted stock cars for Jeff Anderson at his shop and worked the pits for the Anderson Racing team.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Paul is survived by his children: Robby Anderson and wife, Julie, and Marcy and husband, Todd Larsen, all of Kimballton; seven grandchildren: Cole and Koy Anderson and Mandy, Jesse, Justin, Madison and McKenna Larsen; a brother, Roger Anderson and wife, Terrie of Kimballton; an aunt, Lavonne Brown of Johnston; and nephews, other relatives and friends.
