Mass of Christian Burial for Lorna Kollatschny, 60, Kimballton, were conducted July 1,2005 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Arcadia, with Father John Thomas officiating. Interment was in the St. John’s Cemetery in Arcadia. Casket bearers were her grandsons: Jacob Berg and Mitchell Berg; and Jeff Houston, Tony Greve, Dan Kock, Dave Kock and Aaron Pieper.

Lorna Kollatschny, the daughter of Leonard and Edna Koenck Kock, was born July 30, 1944 in Carroll. She went to country school Jackson #5 and Ar-We-Va High School.

She was married May 6, 1961 to Ron Berg at St. John’s Catholic Church in Arcadia. On Feb. 10, 1995, she married her second husband, Klaus Kollatschny at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Carroll.

With her husband, Ron Berg, they farmed in the Westside area before moving to Carroll in 1992. She also worked during those years as a secretary for Badding Construction for 17 years. She moved to Kimballton with her husband Klaus Kollatschny in 1995.

She was a past member of St. John’s Church in Arcadia and St. Lawrence Church in Carroll. She was a member of the Christian Mothers Guild of Arcadia. She was a volunteer for various organizations after retirement and a former member of the Carroll Lions Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leonard and Edna Kock and her first husband, Ron Berg in 1992.

Lorna is survived by her husband, Klaus Kollatschny of Kimballton, son Tom Berg and wife, Daryls of Owatonna, MN; daughters: Jeanne Christensen and husband, Duane of Audubon; Jennifer Snyder and husband, Dewey of Lohrville; Amy Tiefenthaler and husband, Jay of Stillwater, OK.; six grandchildren; brothers: Kenny Kock and wife, Joyce of Vail; Ron Kock and wife, Julie of Breda; nieces and nephews.
