Louisa M. Swartfager Nickel was married to John Nickel. Sometimes spelled Nickle. Both were born in Penn. Moved to Audubon county from Illinois in about 1879. My grandmother, their daughter, was Amanda May Nickel and was born July 3, 1876 in Alybur, Ill. Siblings were Elizabeth ,married Dib Wheeler; Will moved to Calif.; Louise and Jesse Stotts who died in Platt, N.E. in 1920. Lou who might have married a Potter. Sady who died of cancer and lived in the east; Effie Brown, Sofie, John and Jackson. This is family info I have been given but I'm not sure of it. Don't know when Louisa Nickel died. I have been told she died in Audubon County and John, her husband died in California. Don't have any dates or cemeteries. Thanks load for all you do.
