Mrs. L. H. Pine
Dies At Atlantic

Mrs. Mary Gittins Pine died
Monday afternoon at the At-
lantic hospital. Death followed
an illness of about six weeks. She
was the mother of Miss Mary Lou
Pine, Exira high school music
teacher.

Surviving are her husband,
Attorney L. H. Pine of Atlantic,
& son; Leon G. Pine, instructor in
vocational education at the Olin
high school; a daughter, Miss
Mary Louise Pine, music instruc-
tor at the Exira high school; two
brothers, William J. Gittins of
Anita, and John Gittins of Gris-
wold; and three sisters, Mrs.
George Senholz of Griswold, Mrs.
P. E. Lamborn of Adair and Mrs.
Margaret G. Linn of Atlantic. A
brother, Thomas Gittins, died last
May 19.

Funeral services were held
Wednesday afternoon at the
Congregational church in At-
lantic, the Rev. C. William Bast
officiating. Interment was in
the Atlantic cemetery.
