OLD-TIME RESIDENT OF THE
COUNTY DIED TUESDAY NIGHT

F. M. Rice, one of the long time
residents of this county, passed away
Tuesday night at the home of his son, B. E.
Rice, in Audubon. Death followed an
illness of several months duration.
Mr. Rice was past 70 years of age.

At one time Mr. Rice served the
county as clerk of the district court.

He is survived by his son, Blair,
of Audubon; a sister, Mrs. Emma
Moore of Omaha; and a brother, E.
C. Rice of Gray.

Funeral services were held Wednes-
day afternoon at the home of his son
in Audubon and burial was made in
Maple Grove cemetery, with Rev. Guy
J. Fancher of the Audubon Methodist
church in charge.
